From the Stage to the Sanctuary: A Magical Sunday Morning

After a brilliant gig at Queenstown’s Paragon Theatre on a Saturday night in October, inspiration struck on a whim. I extended an impromptu invitation to @thestrandedwailers, asking them to come sing at the church on Sunday morning.

To our delight, they accepted and wandered in at 10am, ready to fill the space with their incredible harmonies. The church came alive as their rich sound resonated beautifully beneath the watchful gaze of Robert Redford (yes, you read that right!).

It wasn’t hymns from days past, but the music brought an entirely new kind of light and warmth to the space. Hearing them sing in that setting was nothing short of magical—a moment we all felt so lucky to witness.

Sometimes, the best moments are the unplanned ones.
